There has been one thing on mine I've always wanted to change and never found anything that I really liked. Well I think I may have found something, but I'll need to modify using this on part. But I want it last also. Doing a touch up every few years isn't bad.

I should have went ahead and repainted it the last time I re-did the muffler.

Tried to use it Without success to paint my grill and rims... I didn´t like the blue shade instead "dark" that must be.

Ive used this stuff before on projects and found that a few layers of it will cure the "blueing"..use more than recommened(always the case)..to get a better result invest in some real clear coat..the problem with rattle can clear and the delivery method(the cans tip)it keeps you from getting the show quality and durabily that everybody wants.(due to the fact there is a half inch of paint in the can..the rest is thinner so it sprays pretty on TV).real clear comes in a 2 part mix..the clear itself..and hardener..a small newfie speed and sport spray gun with a half decent tip on it will give you far better results that any spray can and aid in durabilty as well..Ive found that adding a "flex additive" or"adhesion promoter"..kinda the same stuff..really helps with durabily as well as a shine that will blind ya..a quart of clear and activator runs 30$ as opposed to 2.99 a can but when it comes to makin your ride look right..a few dollars difference will mean the world when you dont have to take the time to redo it over and over again..I will warn ya..if you do decide to use this stuff..it doesnt like brake dust and it really doesnt like the silicone based(im guessn) goo that Gm used for a coating the plastic parts..sand all that crap off..prime..then paint..as for rims..duplicolor makes a great oil and grease remover in a can(liquid)that will remedy any adhesion problems with the rims..good luck...it does look good..just depends how and where you use it..

Thanks for the heads up. Brake dust won't be a problem. I want the color to be dark, so I had planned on probably 5+ coats at least. I've heard the same before about clear. Part is going to be aftermarket, so I'm hoping with light coats I won't have to worry about "goo".

You mentioned paint, if your going for "black chrome" how would you get that painting? Seems like the chrome "shine" wouldn't be there.
