Thanks, I have basically 2 years thinking about them, doing the Math, researching How molds like this are made, adding up buying the steel parts needed, plus the light assemblies themselves and everything else.

And Calling and talking with Dan, I just happened to get Lucky that he had this Black set on the shelf and a few days before I called he Noticed he had them boxed up, forgetting what was IN the box.

(My Luck FAILED me on my $10.00 MEGA Millions Quick Picks tho)

Called at the right time I guess.

Either way, I was gonna be ordering up a set.

I can live without rear disk brakes for awhile longer.

Salvage yard never bothered to send me the Pics, so I decided not to drive the 200 mile round trip.

Then decided to get the '55 Chevy HHR Tail Light Kit. I Wanted them Before I even bought my Panel.

Got them now tho.

Talked to Dan this afternoon.

He was Reboxing up and Double Checking the Black Paints condition on my set of "55 Chevy HHR Tail lights, to make Sure they were still in Excellent shape.

He said they were, and FedEx picks them up on Monday.

He then asked me if I had any spare sets of Stock Red Lenses from my '55.

I think I have several old sets laying around after owning it the last 33 or so years.

He then told me he went ahead and swapped out the stock red lens on my Kit, to the Blue Dot (Optional) Lenses.

Either a $34.50 or a $55.00 OPTION depending on what site you buy these kits from.
(Lenses with the blue dots pre installed)

NO CHARGE. Thanks Dan.

He asked if I had spare lenses on hand, to say if Blue Dots are "Illegal" in your State, keep a Spare set of regular stock lenses in your car with a screw driver and if you get pulled over, tell the officer you can Swap them out in under a minute, they usually let you go in that case.

I have had Several cars, and trucks over the years and most I have added Blue Dots to the tail lights without ever being pulled over, even tho they are illegal in IL.

I bought a set of glass Blue Dots for my HHR a long time ago, never installed them Knowing I would get these '55 Chevy tail lights for mine and decided to save them to install in the Kit instead once I got it.

I'll put them in Something down the road i'm sure.

Hopefully I get the tail lights by Wednesday, or Thursday this week.

Earlier is Fine by me!

Thanks, I can't wait either.

Been Waiting about 2 Years to get them. Finally took the plunge and did it.

Chop, as in a Chopped Top? Would be pretty Cool, but someone else is gonna have to take that one on. lol

Would love to, if I was 15-20 years younger.

I'd LOVE to see Someone do it to their HHR tho.

It's Official, FedEx has them and my estimated delivery date is April 5th.

(Knows what I will be doing on Thursday.)

Currently watching the DVD install disk.

Comes with a DVD, Color printed install instructions, and a Install Tool Kit.

The Install Tool Kit includes EVERYTHING needed.

Screw Drivers, philips and straight, dry erase marker, tube of DAP Auto/Marine Sealant, small roll of red electrical tape, small pair of side cutters and a Stubby (short) 10mm wrench, and cleaning wipes all in a sealed thick plastic type bag.
Nice install Kit.

I am gonna Love having these '55 Chevy Tail Lights on My Panel, Finally.

Gotta go give Morticia a wash and Install them now. I'll post installed pics later on tonight.
