So here's a little more progress on the Buick Bijou Super.

Oooh, Ventiports!

I like them Ben, did you source them from a Lucerne or Regal?

Any plans to light them up like Buick Stylist Ned Nickles did to the very first ones fitted to his personal Roadmaster bsck in '48?

 

Glad you like them Mike...they're from a Lucerne. I bought them off of eBay last fall and I am just now getting around to doing the fabrication work necessary to install them...lol
No plans to back light them as of now.

 

Also, if I'm not mistaken, the Regal's ventiports are surface mount only. The ones from the Lucerne actually require cutting holes in the metal because they're inset more than an inch and have functional vents.

 

Ventiports that vent, haven't seen that feature for eons Ben.

Well back at my job today, but here's an image of the "damage" I did yesterday while I was off. Mocking up some of the chrome and painted white walls.
