Bowtieboy68, I am glad it gave you a good laugh too!
Grizzly old man, I hope this doesn't start a pattern of getting pulled over... LOL
Mike, I know a lot of police officers and all the ones I know are car guys.

Keep it under wraps Ben, I've heard Santa is looking for something more stylish than that termite ridden old sleigh.
I've heard tell that Elves are really good with a slim jim, finding nothing left of the Bijou on Christmas morning but tire tracks and reindeer poop would just suck.

So I was stopped by an elderly gentleman this morning on my way into work who wanted to know all about my car. He was an avid hot rodder and couldn't figure out what my car started life as. So when I told him that it was an HHR he began asking me about the parts that went into creating my make shift Buick. As I was going through the inventory, it made me realize exactly how hodgepodge my car really is.
Here's a quick summary of the retrofit parts (so far) beginning with those that came from Buicks.
1. Grille - 2009 Enclave
2. Hood shield emblem - 1953 Buick Super
3. Rear chrome trim w/ emblem - 2012 Regal
4. Ventiports - 2007 Lucerne
5. Buick Motor Division dash emblem - 1999 Century
6. Steering wheel tri-shield emblem - 2010 Excelle (Chinese market)
7. Chrome Buick license plate trim - 2004 Rendezvous
Non-Buick parts
8. Aftermarket 350-Z l.e.d. tail lights
9. Front and rear bumper bullets - 1970's Ford truck hub covers
10. Rear quarter scoop chrome - 2012 Kia Optima fog light bezel
11. Sideview mirrors - 2007 Dodge Charger
12. Stainless exhaust bezels - 2010 Camaro
13. Scoop Grille - 2009 Toyota Hilux (non-American market)
So it's official, the Buick Bijou Super is Frankenstein!
LOL

While it may be true that your project could be referred to as a Frankenstein, it is the genius of a "mad doctor " to see a pile of parts an bring them to life in another form. I for one put your talents on par with visionaries such as Ed Roth, Daryl Starbird ,and George Barris. I could have never looked at an HHR and seen a classic Buick wagon. Then have the skills to actually mold and shape it.......no way. My hat is off to you sir.

Concerning both Lasater & Benjiwah .... My (Top) Hat is off to both you Gents .... Great vision & huge effort set forth to see both your fabulous projects "happen" ... and like everyone else, were always awaiting your next installment ... Keep up the excellent work!!!!!!!
