Opinions on painting brake drums
I had a friend in high school back in 1998 that was into hot rods...he had a '68 Camaro with air shocks in the rear that he could raise and lower by releasing the air or putting more air in...almost like modern day air bags.
Diggin' the drums, nice job The Old Guy!
Man the days of "Bigs and Littles", my yellow Camaro Z-28 "Tweety Bird" was raked enough that seat belts were mandatory unless you wanted to skid off the seats under braking. Hard to make nice with your girl after she ignored your advice and found herself under the dashboard at the first stop sign.

Old Guy- Looking Good man !!!
Man you are young !!
Caddys back in the 1950's could come with factory air-ride bags...
My 1959 Caddy was factory bagged, & had a slow leak.. If it sit a few days, it was laying frame..
Mod-Mike-
I never knew the South & North used different colors on drums.. I have always liked Chevy Orange. Unless the body color was better suited for a Ford Red.
On my Panel I used 1964-'84 Chrysler Red, that has an orange hint to it !!
& Yes I painted a few of my early rides WHITE underneath & added lighting....
Also Hand painted "BMF" on the rearends, since they were usually 'jacked up' it was readily visable.

I'm so out of shape it's not funny. I'm also about 40-50 pounds overweight so that doesn't help either. I did a lot of physical work today at my job so I was pretty beat before I even started my project.
Yeah I know, I really need to lose the weight.
