Painted front and rear, nothin wrong with painting the rear drums.

Black Panel with touches of Purple here and there as accents, planned from the start.

Gotta give Greybeard Credit were credit is due, He used this Purple "anodized" paint first, I Loved it, it was exactly the color Purple I was lookin for, he gave me the info on the 2 part product. It's almost like the old school Candy, you paint a Silver Base, then the Purple over the base. Depending on how the sunlight hits it the shade varies a bit.

I need to buy a new set of drums and redo them after last Winter, and the fact I painted them after they were already rusting a bit. Surprized they lasted this long, always planned on buying new drums and painting them proper from the start once these started to fail.

I even have a 3ft. tall Rat Fink in Black & Purple, he goes in the back with the rear hatch open and the Green 1ft. tall one sits under the hood at the typical cruise nite drive in places I stop at now and then.

try a 2 tone
paint the drum black, then paint the beveled edge of the drum to match the front.
gives the drum a better look, but doesn't over power the color on the front

loads of different colors. www.eastwood.com

I got a quart for $30. & have enough left to do about 4 more rides..

Good part is it paint doesn't require a catalyst...So the paint can stay good on the shelf for years if need be..
