3/8" ceiling light

Hi! Just picked up a 2006 HHR last Saturday. I can figure everything out except the 3/8" diameter (LED?) light in the ceiling in front of the mirror. It seems as it is always on except when the car is off. What is it??

Thanks,
cruzrjo

I was wondering about that light too. I just bought a '06 HHR last week. Love it so far.

That LED light is in 06-07 + 08 years, I don't think any newer since '09 moved the window switches to the door..

I plugged mine with a tiny piece of closed cell foam after about a week of owning my 07. I think it is a lame idea. They could have easlily placed it just above the switches or perhaps left just a little bit of an opening around the switches for it to act like a backlight for them. Just plain stupid to be in the headliner for something almost on the floor.

I always used it as an indicator that the auto headlights were working.
