That's funny... "the fine Corinthian Lethah". It's locked into the memory banks.

And you're right on the money. Majored in Media and Communications and worked in The Business. Did my share of copy, editing and promotions. It's been many years now since I actually made a living at it. It was fun while it lasted.

Very, very nice. Excellent work. I like the Chevrolet emblems, too.

Yeah, the potential is limited. Won't work with the earlier HHRs as well - with the window buttons being front and center. Just later model automatics.
No problems though. I have pretty big hands and there's no bumping. The cup underneath is accessible, too. I made it so the top will open up.

This "new and improved" holder was an absolute necessity. Gotta have coffee. And the existing holders just didn't work for me - too awkward trying to reach for the cup.

The OEM cup holders on any model year HHR are a perfect example of "design by afterthought".

I don't use them often, but when I do, I'm reminded of those hopeless cup sized dimples they used to press into the backs of glovebox doors....utterly pointless.

You're right. Those were pretty ridiculous. I can imagine it now...

Uncle Ford to his hapless nephew: "Son, see if you can come up with an idea about how we can improve the interior of our new model line-up."

Uncle Ford to lead interior design engineer: "I don't want to hear another word about it. Just do it!"
