Did anyone make any progress on this topic? The part I hate about the center stack switches in my 07 is that the front doors are opposite from each other and those are the 2 I roll down most often. Everyday I roll the drivers side windows down by mistake while staring at the passenger door to roll down and wondering why it hasn't moved yet! Frustrating lol

Give it time and you will be rolling down both fronts only without looking.

Funny, but I was thinking the same thing this morning, in fact the door mounted switches in my 2011 are the ones that drive me nuts.

I have those same "DOH" moments when I drive the Ion.

I have never "just lived" with any bad design in any vehicle I have ever owned. I can make it better and I will. Does anyone have a larger diagram of the 2 systems in question here?

PM me with an e-mail address and I can send you some wiring diagrams in PDF form once I get into the office tomorrow, there are some compatibility hurdles that you'll need to deal with. That's why folks give up on this idea after trying, HHR's evolved over the production years, and the differences between an '07 and an '09 are substantial.
