Replacing interior lights with LED's

I would like to replace my map and dome lights with LED's, but I don't know of a good place to get them. I also would like to know if I need anything special to do this, ie: resistors and such. Thanks in advance for the help, Mike.

I know you said you found what you are looking for, but for anyone who finds this thread later on searching or who may want some later, I do believe that you can find what you need at Radio Shack as well.

I don't know.... Rat Shack does carry generic LEDs but not automotive types as far as I know. The ones I linked to are direct replacement for cars/trucks.

Well, I'm going from what I was told by others. I know of someone that found a replacement for theirs at Radio Shack. I personally have never changed mine.

Results, please?

Please report how your interior LEDs compare with the standard incandescents once you get them installed. I love the LED tail light kit but only on my 2nd try getting red ones from a better source did my high-mount brake light individual LEDs give an acceptable result. I have not attempted to use LEDs anywhere else so I am very curious about how yours work out.

Did mine a few weeks ago. I used 16 LED 562 bulbs in the back seat and cargo. Then I did the 194 - 16 LED panels for the front map lights. 194 bulbs work up front also if anyone is wondering what a 2825 is.

Its BRIGHT inside. Looks crisp & clear.
