Here are the final results.
This is the original piece I used about a year or 2 ago when I first got the car.
I did cut it too much on both sides when I first cut it, but considering this isn't a show car, and I'm not too worried about it, I though it was fine.
I used the soap and water method.
You need to apply more soapy water to the back side so whatever you are using as a squeegee will not catch on the dry tint and cause it to tear or move the tint.
I used my license and the thickness and hardness of it is perfect. I would not use an actual squeegee for this.
Removing all the bubbles was very simple and just takes a few passes to get all the water pressed out.
Start from the middle and firmly press on the device you use to get the water out.
Try this when it is not hot or sunny out, so the sun/heat doesn't dry the water inside too fast and before you can get the water out.
This came out PERFECT for me. (minus the fact that the piece I used was beyond saving, for the most part)
My window is dirty but this is how it looks now, after about a month.
