Your 1st post said this. Quote "now i have to figure out how to take transmission out w/out the engine...???"
So. You pulled the engine but left the tranny in.
Now you're asking how to separate the engine from the tranny ?(Uh. Thought they were already apart )

Maybe fill in some facts about what exactly you have done and what you need to do.
Socket size ? There's more than one size needed. Just have the whole tool box handy.

How did you manage to kill one of the most "bullet proof" transmissions ever made? Maybe just a valve needs to be replaced.

Dude my so called buddy welded my flywheel to the torque converter and not a good weld cause the bolts snapped off or something and the bolts that he had weren't working so he said "let's weld them together, it worked for my truck."

Maybe you should invest in a Haines manual.

If the torque converter cannot be separated from the engine, I think you're going to have to drop the whole assembly with the cradle.

Then when you separate the engine and transmission, fluid is going to spill everywhere, a lot of fluid. I wonder if the assembly would fit inside of a kiddie wading pool?

You'll have to cut the welds to get the converter off the flexplate, then buy another flex plate. And another torque converter.

What a mess. Please don't let other people's stupidity spill on you again.

I'm thinking that is not a proper fix. That is not a flywheel but a flex plate and how it stayed true is beyond me. Good luck.

Curious as to what the problem is.

Did he burn through the torque converter, causing loss of fluid, maybe burning the transmission?

Did the welds, being less than perfect, put the rotating assembly out of balance, causing a terrible vibration?

Did the welds break, causing the transmission to be disconnected from the flexplate, and now the car won't drive?
