Car Show at GM Powertrain

This year GM will once again hold their annual car show/engine assembly demo at the Tonawanda, NY facility. Last year, for the first time in years, there was no show due to GMs financial problems.

The show will be held on Saturday, July 24th from 9AM to 5PM.

There will be a Chevy Equinox fuel cell display this year.

Nope, no HHRs in the show. There was threat of rain, so overall the number of show cars was down to less than half from 2 years ago ( when they had their last show).

I've been looking for more news about WNY. I haven't seen a thing since we were together at Quaker Steak in April. Am I missing the boat or just missing the thread.

No, you haven't missed anything.

Things have been pretty slow since Don moved to Texas. He usually prompted the meets. Someone will have to take over the "lead" in getting everyone together.

It's about time for our fall get-together. Anyone have any ideas?

What about everyone just meeting at Quaker Steak, or some other place everyone can agree upon some time towards the end of the month, or on a date the majority of people have open.

I usually try to keep my weekends open, it's the wife that makes plans w/o reminding (informing) me of them until a couple days, or less, before the date. But most weekends would be good with me.

Most weekend are OK for me too.

How about meeting at Grover's in Amherst? This is where the Niagara Falls cruise group went in July. I had never eaten there before, but they had the best burger that i ever had.

Y'know, I heard something about Tri-Five doing another show at GMPT ... a shame it petered out as much as Steve said it did. I think too many folks were wary of it being cancelled like last year's and probably didn't want to enter.

Missing the boys, but to tell the truth I think the HHR's having a renaissance down here, I see at least five a day around Longview (not including mine), including one full woody package and a couple of SS models.

Grover's is pretty good! Hard to get parking much of the time though, they're often that busy. I'd be game for it though.....

Let's see what other places come to people's mind too; then perhaps everyone can agree on one place, and a back-up.

BTW- Man vs. Food in Niagara Falls on tonight episode.... May be some ideas there too!
