Weird nasty ****storms all afternoon and evening in Western Mass.

We had a nasty bastid storm roll through just after sundown here.
Here's some weird sky shots before the storm rolled in.





Lightning for about a half hour after the worst of it.
It took 53 shots out on my back deck to get 2 decent lightning shots.
I like this one.

Sorry to hear y'all are getting some of what we've had since April, news update just said there were 4 suspected tornado touchdowns in Mass with five fatalities so far...its about time this awful weather pattern comes to an end.

 

Mowgli, you take some pretty good weather pictures!! I would imagine you might have a future as a Storm Chaser someday, no?

I hope everyone was OK. I just sincerely hope there won't be any more tornadoes like the Joplin, MO tornado. That one was very tragic, so many lost their lives. A tornado is almost always devastating to properties, towns, but many tornadoes cause no fatalities, because people go into their basements and have some sort of protection. But when the tornado is strong enough, sometimes there really is no such thing as adequate protection. I send my best wishes to anyone affected by the tornadoes lately. They really have been causing an tragic number of deaths.
