what does the title really cover of the car? cuz i mean what if i found a beat up 87 , then got that also that had a title , and took all the parts and put it on the titled 87

i mean is that possible ?

You'd have to place the VIN and all identifying stickers from the vehicle you had the title for on the one without the title.

On a side note, I'm almost positive that's illegal

You would have to transfer from the non titled to the titled. Then you have a car you can resigter to drive.

For an 87 truck the vin should be on the firewall under the windshield so the titled "cab" would need to be used. No problem for a pickup, but for a blazer that's the whole body. All other parts from the untitled one could be swapped over including the chassis.

Yeah, if you swap VIN tags you're breaking the law.
