Wink Well, there goes that idea anyway.

This is a rally wheel that you would have found on Chevys in the 70s.

Unfortunately you can't just go to a junkyard and buy old rally wheels because the bolt pattern is wrong, as is the offset in most cases. Do a search for Moon Eyes or Wheel Vintiques to see some of the other conversations about getting an old school look on wheels.
Thank you for saving me a hundred dead-end phone calls anyway. I am hoping that HHR's will get so popular that wheel mfg'rs will make some retro wheels for me. In the meantime, I've done enough for now. She's definitely a girl now.

HEY! I put a gallery up tonight!!!

Eye lids are cool. I got to meet Mitzkity at California Cruiser shop Saturday and watch Bob install the lids. Ya i think they make the front end a little spicy, or what ever. Her HHR looks pretty cool.

See ya down the road.

Yes, I admit it, they are modified PT eyelids. But gosh guys, they are so great on her!! And, why wait until someone makes it custom for the HHR? It can always be changed out down the road. Bob did a great job, slanting them this way and that until they were just how I liked them, and I think even Mitzi likes 'em. There's a way to make them look a little angry, but I went for demure. Bob says someone told him they look stoned, but my car wouldn't touch that stuff ---- LOL

The dealer actually installed it. Which is why Mitz now has it, lets just say it was love at first drive-by.

Whoa, we're twins! Orange and Blue, my old Illinois colors.... It's beautiful, very unique. Are you a modder, a purist? I want to "blueify" my center console area and know a guy who can do it in color-matched wood grain. What do you think??
