thank you. I am new to the Hhr and this particular forum. Over time I will learn more. And the flex pipe is fine the exhaust broke just before the muffler from previous owner backing into something.

 

Is that how the gas tank got dented?
Saw your other post about gas leak.

 

yes, it dented the top of the gas tank, broke a rear bumper bracket, and broke part of the exhaust. But for 800 dollars for an 07 Hhr with 86k miles on the motor and 170k on the body and no rust anywhere it was a good price to me.

 

The tank is plastic, if it got dented it is easy to believe that it cracked.
