I have an '09 2.2 5 Sp that will wheel hop violently in 1st and 2nd gear on wet or dry pavement under hard acceleration. I feels like the right side only is effected by this but it hops bad enought that it feels like the suspension is moving it's full up down travel.

I would just like to know if anyone else is haveing this problem. I.E. is it a problem with my car or just a product of the design of the suspension.

Mine will do it I only let it happen once do not keep this up you will tear things up.You have to lower your rmp on take off mine would spin the tires easy at anything over 2,000 rmp.
I got rid of my stock tires and that made the wheel hop go away unless I rev it up over 3,500 rpm on take off.A torque damper will solve your problem also but not the best way to go.
Just stop spinning your tires and you will not wheel hop there is not enough weight on the front end.

 

Wheel hop is a killer. Stop already.
