2.2L Won't Start

I have a 2011 HHR with the 2.2L ecotec. Had the ignition recall done on it in Sept. 2014. New Battery in May of 2015. Now there is no electrical power. No dash lights. No interior lights. All fuses are fine. Key is stuck in the ignition. WILL NOT START. I even tried a new battery and still nothing works....help!!!

Welcome to the site.

#1. Check the installed battery with a volt meter and make sure it has at least 12 volts or better.
#2. If yes on #1, Check to see if you have that same voltage at the battery under hood terminal at the fuse box junction.

Fwiw. There is a chapter in the owners manual on how to remove the stuck key.
Also curious as to how you opened the rear hatch without any battery power.

If there isn't 12 volts under the hood, then what?

Well, the battery connection goes from the back (where the battery is) to the front of the car. If you don't get power to the front, then obviously you have a problem in-between.
This would not be likely. Most problems like this are usually either the connection up front or the battery connections in the rear.

If you're not the mechanical type or don't have any automotive electrical experience, you should probably find a good repair shop or tech to look at it.

Yes I can do this. Small stuff I'm good with....transmission work on the other hand, best not let me touch a thing lol. Ill certainly test both locations. Im almost guessing it has something to do with the ignition switch. My 2 year old was playing in the driver seat while I cleaned the car the day before it quit working.

"My 2 year old was playing in the driver seat while I cleaned the car the day before it quit working."

Would have been nice to put that info in your 1st post.
Vandalism by a 2 year old. Didn't realize I had to figure that into the troubleshooting advice.
Tell us what you find out.

btw: Reread post #2, last paragraph.

Ok so here is what I did. I tested at the battery. full power there. I tested at the fuse box, full power there. I turned my head lights on and they worked. So this led me to believe that it is an interior issue. I opened up the fuse panel in the passenger side console. There are 3 RD/BLK wires. The left upper one and middle upper one had power, the one on the far right upper corner had NO POWER. I took a piece of wire and bridged from the RD/BLK left upper wire to the RD/BLK wire that had no power (upper right) and BOOM I had power and the car started and drives. Now, what is that wire??? I can't find anything on what it is and where it goes. Click the image below...this is what I did.
