Great catch , the 2.4 uses the 4 separate coils. Not the coil pack , that was just the 2.2 in 2006.

2006 HHR No Start

My 2006 HHR has two 8 pin connectors, one that goes to the fuel injectors and the other to the throttle body. How do I tell which one goes where. Both where disconnected when I got the car. Also what is the result of wrong connection?

If you look at the plug end they should look different if I'm not mistaken.
I've never looked at the plugs myself, only going by other harness plugs from other vehicles.

No, they both look identical, and plug in with very little pressure.

How about matching the wire colors?

They are different part numbers and look different to me. Oh, you have a 2006; I think they changed the TB connector; these are for 2008' I can't find the 2006 connectors.

Yes, I did match the colors and that the way I have it hooked up now, the engine cranks but does not start, the other way it will not crank. I have codes P0107, and P2101. What do you think the problem could be. Thanks

They could be related. You may have a broken throttle body.

Please keep your problem in one thread, especially if you are going to give them the same title. Merged now.

Which makes me wonder if you read ALL of the previous thread?

Sorry, did not mean to start a new thread, but yes I have read all replies. Can you tell which wire is the 5v reference on the throttle body. I check the map sensor which is the green wire in the middle and have no voltage, thinking I might have a ECM problem.

It is the GREY wire on the MAP and on the TAC; LT GREEN on the crankshaft sensor.

Highly unlikely the ECM is bad; Highly likely a pin or few in the connector on the ECM has pushed out of the back.
