I check the pins and connectors on the ECM and they all looked good. checked the 5v reference wire on the Manifold Air Pressure and Throttle Actuator Control and they both have 5v. The engine cranks but no start. Same codes P0107 and P2101 and dash says engine power reduced. Any other subjections

Finally got the car running, but it runs real bad. It idles up and down between 1100 & 1300 rpm's check engine light and engine power reduced light is still on. Performed idle relearn but that did not work. Drove it around the block and could only get it up to 30 mph, would only shift one time real hard. I don't have the scan tool to read the codes, will get it from my son tomorrow. Does it sound like a common problem, I know I need to check the codes but maybe the symptoms sound familiar. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Sounds familiar to a throttle body problem.

My bet is you forgot the MAF connector.
What did you do to get it running?

Problem solved, after following all your suggestion, "which was very helpful" I found out that the map sensor and throttle actuator control was bad. I believe I shorted them out when I was not sure about a wire that was ground and I hood it up to the starter. Along with that I also had the throttle and injector connector wires crossed (they looked the same) and when I hook the ground wire to positive and that is when I believed I shorted them. I replace the map sensor first and got rid of the P0107 code and then got a P2167. Replaced the throttle actuator control and wa la no more codes, CEL off and idles perfect. Thanks for all your help Oldblue, Cat Man and Donbrew
