2006 hhr p0036 & p0300
Thus far, I've never had to add oil between oil changes so I don't know how much it's burning.
What would you suggest I look at for the rough idle?
It may show the 41-105 as the plug for the 2006 2.2 but it also shows the 41-103 as a fit also.
Think it's a case of "it fits".
Or one of those "it fits" like the LCA listings on most of the sites that say "fits all". Probably nothing wrong with using the 41-105's. Just a slightly different heat range of plug I'm guessing.

Oh they fit and work fine, the 41-105 were also the recommended plug for Sweetie’s old 2003 Sunfire GT 2.2, which GM said all came with a 2.4 .
I don’t see the 103’s on this 2.2 listing on RockAuto

but they are listed for the 2006 2.4

Major DOH! moment.
I noticed 5 boxes of spark plugs in the garage...they were for the HHR.
I must have forgotten to replace them during the last major service.
She idles smooth after replacing the plugs...no misfires yet🤞.
Now, I just have to recheck the exhaust bolts to, hopefully, get rid of the fumes in the car. I torqued them to 34 #/ft.

Well, P0420 bank 1 popped up and I'm getting a random misfire only at idle. I replaced the bank 1 sensor with a new denso unit just in case. I cleared the codes, and the p0420 Bank 1 and random misfire at idle both continued. I'll re-clean the MAF, TB, and see if that helps.
Do y'all also feel the p0420 is because the cat was gutted?
Figured I would ask here for most likely other causes of the random misfire only at idle. If I hold the throttle at around 950 RPM or greater the misfire disappears. The misfire is very sporadic. I'm thinking vacuum leak, but welcome more experienced input.
