The diagram is of the front of the engine the oil pressure sender is pointing to the front of the car.
It sounds like the dealer was a little slow that day so they where going to through every think they could think of at you and hope you buy some money making maintenance.

Thanks for the clarification on the Oil Pressure Sender location Lucky, I just knew that there was something else to point out. Pre-Holiday senility strikes again.
