Unhappy 2007 HHR Starting problems

Hello,

I have an 2007 HHR yesterday we went to Food Lion, when I came out it would not start. I sit there 45 minutes when it still would not start I call for a tow got it home kept trying to start it but nothing happen no click nothing so my husband tried cleaning the battery (in the back) nothing happened. This morning I go out to see if it would start so that I could at least pull it back o carport it started I don't have any clue why it didn't start yesterday but I am afraid to drive it I fear that it will happen again. Anybody got suggestions as to what to do or what could be could it be a dead cell in the battery?

The place I am buying it from has a thing installed if I miss my payment date it will lock the car and I can't drive, only thing is I am up to date on my car payments it that should not bother it.

Sound like a dead battery to me. Or the lock out is malfunctioning. The local Advance/Autozone/Oreilly will check the battery for free, if you can get it there.

Thanks I'm gonna take it to AutoZone Monday my nephew is a manager there. The strange thing is my steering wheel will not lock it moves even when you pull out key.

Then something is real broken and really needs to be addressed by a real mechanic with his hands on the car, the internets cannot help you with that. Your car MAY be under the TSB/recall notice about the key sticking, but the local GM service department would have to tell you about that.

You might try asking the shop that installed the cut out. It is possible that they did something incorrectly.
