2008 hhr passenger water leak

My 2008 HHR has a passenger floor water leak. I had the windshield replaced and the technician showed me where the water was coming in. The "butyl patch" is missing along with the gasket. I can't find a " butyl patch" on ebay or part stores. Nor can I find the gasket. Maybe I have the names wrong?

The butyl patch was for 2006 only. More likely your AC drain is clogged.

Thanks, that's the piece that's missing and I couldn't find a part number. I could find the cowel water deflector and it showed that part but gave no number.

Yeah, the mechanic charged me for fixing that but the problem continued.

The 2008 cowl should not look like this 2006 model

It should look like this 2010 with smaller opening and no patch

This 2006 has a damaged butyl patch

this would definitely leak

I will try again, the 2008 does not need the patch. ONLY 2006.
The water is coming from elsewhere! AC, door conduit, windshield seal, door gasket, sunroof drains etc.

The purpose of the photos is to illustrate that the deflector is 2006 model year

yes the wire harness boot at the door jamb could be leaking , have a look in here and check my solution in post #10
