2008 HHR SS outside air ambient temp sensor

Only found one thread and that's years old and doesn't help me in my case. Where is the sensor located on a 2008 HHR SS? I have both a Chilton's and Haynes manuals and they are worthless in this respect.

Does anything have to be removed to get to the sensor? I'm on the verge of having the front facia replaced due to some broken clips and I'm replacing the headlamps as well since it's off and if the sensor is 'hidden' somewhere, now would be a good time to get to it.

I think that's in the years old thread. 2008 was years ago, you know.

Thank you. Appears the front facia has to come off to replace it, correct?

I guess links and photos aren't good enough.

Thank you for the sarcasm. Signal to noise ratio is pretty low in many, many of the threads and I still didn't see exactly where it's located on a 2008 SS since in some threads it seems to be located in different locations in different years.

You don't see the yellow circle in post #2 on a HHR SS?
It was moved on LT/LS in 2009/2010.

Yes, I see the yellow circle. What I don't see is the sensor in the circle.

Well I was just trying to help by showing you the location of the sensor. It's tucked under that flat metal flap.
That picture was just an old one taken for another thread about a different subject. I just added the yellow circle to try and help out you and others.
If you want a pic that shows the actual sensor, someone else will have to post one.

Done.
