to the forum 82silverspirit!

When it comes to the SRS system and the dangers/complications of working on it, my advice is always the same..."get thee to a dealer or qualified GM tech".

82silverspirit,

I agree with 843de. If you are under mileage for the Bumper-to-Bumper warranty, why not take your HHR for this issue. Please keep us updated on what you decide to do.

Thank you,

So these parts were replaced by the dealer? I'm assuming so being it is a 2010 model. Were they replaced because they showed faulty after a check with a scan tool? Assuming yes here too.
If the light is still on,it should show a code error to the problem. Have it rescanned and go from there. I hope someone is not just "throwing parts" at it trying to fix it.
You didn't mention accident. If the answer is yes,was repair work done at a shop other than a dealer?
Might want to add a few more facts to your original post on how this all started.

Evan, collision damage would not be covered by GM warranty.

82silverspirit, you most likely still have an issue with the wiring. When you say we replaced the air bag components are you speaking of a repair not done by a repair shop or a repair that was done by a body shop/service shop?
