If you only had to add 2 quarts to refill it, that's not the end of the world. If you didn't run it that way for long, or run it very hard.

What caused the hole?

It could potentially be the flex pipe making the noise.

My wife was driving and she said it stopped in the middle of the road, she got home I checked it out and found a little hole in the oil pan I fixed it and a week later it started knocking and every time you stop at a light it would shut off, the engie light has always been on

 

Oh. Well, yeah, that sounds pretty bad. Might have thrown a connecting rod? But you say it was a small hole, so maybe not.

 

What is wrong with this? "the engine light has always been on" Did you think it was just a pretty light?
What was the code? Maybe the unrepaired problem is the cause of the current problem.
