2011 Model year Rust
Relatively low miles too! Border is open, the guys at Customs on both sides are pretty knowledgeable about vehicles (obviously) and it's only 250 miles from you! Like Eminem says, "opportunity knocks once in a lifetime!" Lol.
That thing looks clean and well cared for. The Premier looks like a really special model. I'd go check it out myself but I just can't get over the window switch placement on the early models. GM loves to do that on their cars and eventually revert back to the normal positions. They did it with the window lock switches on the 5th Gen Camaro and finally put them where they belong - on the door.
I imported a Canadian HHR into the US a few years ago.
A LOT of paperwork, including getting a letter from GM of Canada certifying that this VIN # car met US emissions and safety standards.
I read the procedure on the US Customs side, there was a lot of vague stuff. Sticking point was that Canadian cars had universal symbols on the front passenger airbag ON/OFF light, while US HHRs had the words "ON" and "OFF" written on them. The GM letter said this did not meet US standards. According to customs, I would have to have it retrofitted by an "approved" importer. However, for some reason the Canadian HHR had the US labelling on the airbag indicator! I decided to just try and get across and hope to show them it was OK.
I brought it over and luckily I had a couple of great customs workers that were friendly and stamped everything OK without even looking at the car. Things might have gone different with a less cooperative customs agent.
Having said all this, I don't know how hard it would be to go from the US to Canada. Maybe it's easier? Maybe it's harder?

Window switches in the middle is better. Fewer switches and simpler wiring while giving the front seat passenger access. It was only changed because people are used to the other arrangement, prolly.
