Okay so my 2011 HHR PANEL WAGON LS
Has only 70,000 miles! It was a company promotion vehicle, anyway the air conditioner works fantastic but now it’s just starting to get cold here in Florida and I switched it to heat yesterday and I didn’t get any warmer air and then also discovered that the vent selector switch wasn’t working either! This is a new issue because the defrost has been working fine

I’m still waiting on you at your other thread about speakers. You didn’t come back to that one.

 

sorry about that, I thank you for your help, I found a set of speakers and I got two of them installed, still have the other two to do, as soon as I connected one the door chime started working, I hadn’t even noticed that it wasn’t working! If I would have read that before I would have done this sooner, my first HHR had the same problem and I never got around to fixing it before I got this HHR with very low miles!

Is it in RECIRC?

 

not in recirculating mode! When I first turn on ac it’s in flow mode, I have to select recirculate!
so when I select heat it is NOT in recirculate mode

 

so I got to thinking about this issue and I remember that not too long ago the defrost and heating were working fine, the ac has always worked perfectly! So I don’t know if this week’s temperature drops might have caused the control for the vent selector to get stuck or if it’s something else, but I also don’t understand why the heat is not working either

Air always flows over the AC evaporator. The heater core is always hot. The blend door determines the amount of air that flows over the heater core.
If there is no heat the blend door is stuck closed.
