Looks like the water can get in where the highlighter marks are

Right about there.

for future reference

Yes I agree. It was for sure not water tight. Wether this was or was not my issue, at least I got it done

I would advise something more rigid like sheet metal or thick plastic. The reason the butyl would fail was the seal would detach and the butyl patch would sag into the hole. Yours may do that over time with that rubber patch.

Okay, the resistor and blower motor came in and guess, what,,,,, still does not work.

With the connector actually connected, I am getting 12 volts going to the orange AND brown wire each and individually .

Looking at the poor schematics I found online, which I could be wrong, the orange wire goes to the resistor pack and I am led to believe that it should be grounded? Because it looks like the resistor pack supplies ground but again I could be wrong. I have tested the BCM3 fuse and the HVAC relay, besides, I have voltage going all the way up to the blower.

A bad blower out of the box perhaps? Should I supply 12 volts to the brown side of the terminal and ground to the orange side perhaps? Opinions please

You could just use the link in my sig to get a shop manual.
Do you have any understanding of DC electricity?

Yes although it’s been a long time since I have read a schematic, I feel confident enough to grope my way through it if left alone for an entire weekend lol

Then you should not be surprised to see 12V on both sides of the motor.
