He never mentioned a red light is that a low coolant level warning? No idea on coolant I will have him check on that thanks for the help.

No, if the engine does not warm up as quickly as the computer wants it to it will throw a code and a CEL. The A/C will not work either.

If the coolant is really low the gauge may give a false low.

You did not say what year car, if it's a 2006 it will have a surge tank instead of a recovery tank.

These days NOBODY bothers to check the coolant or oil.

Its titled as an 08 but was built in 07 cel light is on he had the code read I believe it was code 128 not sure though.

There is a broken t-stat, or something else going on in the coolant.

After that gets fixed the A/C will magically start functioning!

Don't waste your time and money on aftermarket stats, they do not open fast enough to satisfy the ECM hence the code!
