Bad front Bearings ?

I am picking up what sounds like a lot of road noise. But no major thumps or grinds. Anyone have issues with bearings going noisy or bad at 65k miles?

Could be a hub. The noise will change when turning usally.

Also tires with tread worn can make noise too. Look for feathering on the tread or odd wear that could make noise.

Hubs can go at 65K miles. They are not like the old days of taper roller bearings. Almost all brands of cars are seeing issues with these bearings. Often it can and will lead to brake issues too. Most permit .001-.002 of play anymore and they need to be replaced.

Cool Front end Noise?

What "kind" of noise does it make? If it's a higher chirping sound, it could be the "brake pad wear" warning sensor on the brake rotors.
If it's a grinding noise, it could be a wheel bearing, or if you're making a turn, it could be the "constant velocity" (CV) joint in the axle.

When mine went bad it started out with the kind of odd feel and sound while turning, at that point I was trying to convince myself that it was CV's and I could ignore it a while longer. Then they started to roar and people were turning their heads to look on the interstate, then when I pulled into my garage with the new parts in hand they clunked and felt like I had run over 2X4.
