Beyond frustrating

I have a 2009 chevy HHR LT that has issues when it's stopping. It stops great, brakes are good. Just got new rotors and brakes not too long ago, but when you stop it's loud and like clunky sounded and the physical tire itself moves forward. Like the tire lurches forward. I was told it was CV Axle, and it needed new suspension. After two days of hard work, installed them. And it's no better than it was before. The thing is it's an actual lurch of the tire. Like you can feel it go a little forward, and you can see the tire moving itself. Please any advice would be wonderful. This has been incredibly frustrating.

most likely problem. Pretty easy to change, you get new bushings and ball joints, replace them in pairs, there is a left and a right. Do not get the cheaper stamped steel arms, go with Moog RK 620897 and RK 620898.

we get a discount from RockAuto

alright! I bought a new one for one side the side that seems to be the worst. I actually don't notice most of these issues on the driver side, but hell, my luck is it'll be trash too hahah. I am putting the new one on in a couple hours. Thanks for your help guys.

Try removing the 3 top nuts on the strut tower, that makes it a lot easier to move the parts around.

Also tapping it with a soft mallet can help get it into place and a long screw driver can help you align the rear bolt.
