Broken Moon Roof
Mine broke on the passenger side but I am able to close it but I have to hold the bar as the sun roof closes but hell I was going to take it in to get fixed but I see after reading a few other statements I guess I will just assist it when I close the sunroof. I have 160.200 mile on the Z-Ride and the only probles I have ever really had was the Swar Bar Link Kit on the front end and that was only $250.00 for repair so I guess I am very lucky. I do not get on this site that much but I will tell you that the Z-MAn has missed a lot of my good friends and a lot of Pizza and BBQ parties. I am doing well I just had my 16th Surgery and had to go for another on the 2 of Nov 2011 but my Throat Cancer is some what Clear for now.

Mine broke last summer. GM told me sorry about your luck like they did with several other known issues. 70000 miles and this thing is falling apart. as for the sunroof, I just pulled the deflector and bought an avs one that sticks to the roof. problem solved. Thanks GM.
Mine popped a few days ago but I was "lucky enough" to have the part that broke off (the hook) fall into the car. I'm JB Welding it overnight to see if that holds and if it does, I'm lucky.
But I'm considering just removing the whole deflector part and then maybe ordering the lowest profile wind deflector for the roof I can find.
I'm unsure the JB Weld is going to hold...

Don't bet on it holding. As for deflectors, the 2 kinds I found are the ones that stick on with tape or the ones that mount with clips. The glue on ones come in different widths, and probably different heights. The clip on is one standard height with several widths offered and a variety of mounting hardware. That is the one I am using, and it works fine.
Personally I prefer not having one, but I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars for parts to fix the OEM one, knowing that it will just break again.

Yes, lasted two days. I'm thinking of screwing it down now.
In the meantime I've removed the whole thing. Just gotta crack a window to keep fluttering air compression down in the cabin.
Have a link of your solution?

mine on the passenger side broke and i just took the deflector piece out. and i have a outside weather tech smoked plastic deflector which i like cause i have it open a lot and it takes all the buffetting away.
