Either laziness or sheer busy-ness of the day. EITHER WAY. I've always had it diagnosed before going in, telling them my 2 cents, and letting them find the problem.. been 30min at most.

I hate reading threads like this (and the ones about acorns making dents, door handles breaking off), makes me wonder if I chose the right car.

HELP! Mine just broke today so I removed the entire windscreen unit. Now the roof will not close all the way. It stops when it gets within 1" of closing. If I then push the other switch on the right, it closes all the way but the rear of the glass is below the level of the roof. If I then push the right switch the other way, it opens 1" again.

It rains a lot in Florida. How do I get the roof to close all the way???????

Anyone notice it's quieter with the windscreen down?

As for the dealer diagnosis, chill!

I manage a bodyshop and the two warranty things we see are sunroof related, typically leaks, and wind noise. The ****tiest warranty jobs, and none of my guys get paid for half the time they have to put into them. Granted you have a simple, hey it's broken, replace a part job, others are not and I've had an Outlook tie up a tech's bay for 3 days while my collision work got put off due to a waterleak and GM's wonderful sunroof designs.

It's not such an easy fix, I had my sunroof completly replaced at 16000 miles at a cost in parts of close to 1250 , Because they could'nt adjust it right, Said hey , We messed it up more , And the whole things coming out and being replaced, Over 60,000 miles later it purrs like a kitten, I put white lith. grease on it every so offten , No problems.

Keeping my fingers crossed .

Same problem here. Out of warranty and not about to spend a fortune for a little cheap clip.

I took mine out after it broke and just put on an aftermarket ventvisor shade in front of the sunroof. Made much more sence and saved $$$.
