Give them your Vin Number and ask for the "In the Service Date".
Your BTB Warranty is good for 36 months or 36,000 miles from that start date.
The only exception I know of is if you purchased it Used from a GM dealer and they added GM Certification before the Original 36 months or 36,000 mile period expired.
That would add 1 year or 12,000 miles to the Original BTB Warranty.
Your GM Dealer should be able to answer correctly all the neccessary questions without difficulty.

we all know its a bad seem seal from the factory, but that doesn't matter
@badassbowtie, I sincerely apologize for upsetting you with my response to skyline26. I also apologize for your negative experience with the paint concerns you had on your HHR. I, in no way, intended to open an old wound and pour salt in it.

They told me i have factory warranty on my 2008 until november or december..not sure if its bumper to bumper or drivetrain or what it is but we'll see :p
Please, let me know what happens when you take it in and by all means contact General Motors of Canada if you are not satisfied.

You are correct about the rust through information.
