bumper fog light plugs

Anybody have any tips on how to get the plugs out of the fog lights holes on the bumper?

I pulled the shroud from the wheel well but I can't get them to budge. It there a method like squeeze and twist? I can only get one hand in there without completely removing the shroud.

There a a couple of release tabs to unlock it. I can't remember exactly how many. But they do come out. Just release and push in from the outside.

to be honest, you are probably better off taking the whole bumper fascia off the car to take the fog light inserts out, this way you can see all of the hold points. I blieve there are 3-4 points in which it clicks in place. Place a Flat-head screwdriver and wedge each one untiil they all POP.

Of you can do what I did with mine, since I was putting in fog lights anyway, I just cut the tabs off and they popped out very easily. Parts went from bumper to trash very quickly.

MIne were not hard at all to get out. I just felt around the plug until I found each tab, released while pushing in a little on the outside. Took maybe 5 minutes to do each. That includes removing the screws in the wheel well.

Is there any wiring already run to the fog light locations? I have heard rumors that the wiring harnesses in many newer vehicles have the connections for all possible accessories, and that you need only add the accessory and the switch. That sounds too good to be true.

If it sounds too good, it is.

There are several threads discussing having to add a switch and wires for fog lights.

I saw those threads afterwards. Apologies for the redundancy.
