2006 LT, 2.4l, 115,000 miles, original owner. I’ve got a weird one, and it’s a new problem – more of an inconvenience really.

Starting about 3 days ago, after leaving the A/C on when I park and shut the engine off: When I get back in and re-start, the A/C is no longer on.

It comes right on when I push the button, and cools fine but it seems to be defaulting to “off” whenever I turn off the engine and remove the key.

This is a new one on me.

 

I’ll check mine later today. I think that’s normal.

 

Not normal. Defaults to fresh air; but AC or not is supposed to stay where you left it.

Nobody else drives the car?

 

Probably low on refrigerant. Next it will turn off randomly while you’re driving. But check the coolant level and turn the DIC too coolant temp and monitor it a bit. When was the coolant last replaced?
