Just bought an 09 hhr ss with 137xxx miles, runs pretty solid but the abs light is on the maf is brand new but isn’t functioning properly and I Can’t get launch control to even turn on...is this because some of the tpms need replacing? I got a good price on it and I knew there’d be some work involved just don’t know where to start. Any help would be appreciated

The reason is the ABS light. Fix it launch will be fixed.

 

That is what I was going to suggest.
Remote Start won't work if there are any codes, so it stands to reason.

 

I don’t have any codes I’m bringing it to someone tomorrow evening and he is going to pull codes and I will get them to you guys thanks for the help....I was told it’s the tpms that had the abs light on but I’m not sure if that’s true the brakes feel like they don’t work until the end of the peddle

 

With it plugged in it doesn’t run well...runs strong unplugged...the guy I bought it from put s brand new maf on it and it’s still not functioning right...i believe the new maf is aftermarket

 

MAF or MAP?

 

Maybe plug the MAF in and see if the launch control will come on.
Honestly though. If you're running the car with the MAF unplugged, I'll bet the ECM and PCM are going nuts. There may be numerous trouble codes present and other systems rendered inoperative.

 

I only did it once for about 3 minutes but I have to get it to the mechanic tomorrow like that...I’m just going to limp there
