Can of worms.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
All engines in 2010 were VVT.
If so the wiring harness should work.
The biggest thing I see is the logic/parameters between the 2.2 vs the 2.4. And if it was stick or auto.
I'm going to say the ECM, when blank, will accept software for both engines.
Yes the VIN number will be a issue. But programmed correctly I see no problem.

In this 2010, agreed, wiring harness is the same, the ECM is different. Both by VIN and programming for the difference in fuel and timing of the 2.4.
I still think the MAF if not installed correctly is the biggest problem

But Blue there is a 2.4 installed where a 2.2 came out of.
Who cares about the MAF sensor right now ?
Get the correct program in the ECM for the engine/transmission installed and go from there.

But CatMan, I know the 2.2 was removed and the 2.4 was installed, what I don’t know is if the MAF was installed correctly when it was started up. That would cause a lot of problems and throw a code! That’s why I care! Again, I agree the ECM programming is the problem.
