I have a 2008 HHR SS that i bought just recently, and a eval code was up for the the evap control module, so i replaced that and the code went away for like 2 Hours and then came back up, i have power to the solenoid but i do not know if it has a good ground, because i do not know were that ground goes too to be able to test it, and can not find it anywhere. Any thoughts would help and has anyone had this problem before?

 

Can't you check the ground via the end of the connector and any other nearby ground?

ps: the code is p0449, not po449

 

i might but i can test the harness up until the point it goes into to cab.

 

You replaced the one next to the gas tank, right? The rubber seal sometimes does not like being changed, that's the first place to look

P0449 in the SEARCH box yields lots of links.
