Regardless of engine size, the starter location is the same. Just make sure the vehicle is safely supported, getting squished by your HHR would not be good.

Changing isn't too bad on our cars. 883 gave you a good post to do the job just make sure you disconnect the battery. The battery cable at the starter always has power to it when the battery is hooked up.
