Clutch pedal has to be pushed down to start the car, is that switch aligned and functioning correctly?

With the exception of the positive cables from the battery to the side of the fuse block then to the starter, and ground cables, I can't think of any wires that could be connected improperly. Everything else has unique connectors.

The cable would not have needed to come off the starter. Only the 2 hot battery cables that meet on the side of the fuse block would need to be removed. I don't think any grounds would need to be removed. And the positive lead to the power steering terminal on the side of the fuse block would be removed.

It'll be interesting to see what happened.

My experience with the fuse block starts at post #45, hope something there helps. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...e-62561/page5/

A lot have managed to plug the halves back together wrong. Lots have got the connections on the side wrong. Lots have added that stupid ground wire from the TCM to what they think is the ground post of the "battery".

So. Are you looking for help or just making a statement ? If looking for help you should include some info like year and model and any previous related repair work.

Oh. You have another thread on this site that you never came back to. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...-system-64689/
(looks like both these threads are about the same issue)

So they dropped the engine and transmission out the bottom of the car, on the cradle, then split the engine and transmission apart to replace the slave cylinder? Because that's where the slave cylinder/ throw out bearing is.

Possibly missed a ground wire? Messed up the clutch pedal position switch? Mixed up wires on the under hood fuse box.

If you mean it starts but wouldn’t move then the clutch isn’t engaging.
