Check engine light on and thermostat replaced 3 times in 36,000 miles
Has anyone else had a issue with the check engine light coming on and the thermostat needing to be replaced? This has happened to my 07HHR LS 3 times, twice since the first of the year. I worry that this is caused by a larger issue with the car and since it is now out of bumper to bumper warranty (36,600 miles on it) I don't want any hefty repair bills in the near future. I have a case open with corporate and I am thinking of trying to get chevy to buy it back. I really love the car, had to have one the first time I saw one on the road, but I am also a single mom and cannot deal with the inconvenience of taking it to the shop. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

The thermostat is covered by powertrain warranty for 5 year 100,000 miles. Three being replaced is highly unusual. Nothing but the inferior design/manufacturing of the thermostat is the cause.

Nope, havent had that problem yet. Ihave however had a bad problem of hitting things in the 5 months i have had it. Its been to the body shop 3 times. 
and is still in the shop from the last one. 
Hopefully I have rectified this problem and wont have any others.
