New codes are P1516 and P2176. Both new and not seen before I did the work this weekend. I did run the engine with the intake hose off to check the fuel pressure, not sure if that messed with the throttle body. Seems like the ECM needs to be flashed. Unsure if either of these would cause the "Engine Reduced Power" dash message.
Did it shut down? What was the coolant temp? What are the code numbers?
Did you check for frayed, melted or chewed wires to the O2 sensors?
P1516 and P2176 codes. O2 Sensor wires looked fine when I was under the vehicle and had everything apart. I did not check the coolant temp at the time but will keep an eye out. I cleaned the throttle body back in July or so. Could the cold temperature mess up something in the actuator?
I don't believe removing the butterfly by hand when cleaning the throttle body but that was back in July. The connector has not been off since then. No other connectors have been off but I will check for secure connections.
Got back under the hood this evening and when I took the engine cover off the PCV hose was broken off and probably cracked previously. I’m expecting this is the source of the Throttle Body codes. Not sure about the P0171 Lean code but hoping for some resolve there. Part is ordered and I will install when I get it.
I replaced the PCV hose, as well as the thorttle body and the throttle position sensor (accelarator pedal). I also ended up going back to the orignal flex pipe and cat as it did not seem to have anything wrong with it and the chinese one I got from eBay had leaks all over the place and was very loud. At the same time I replaced both O2 sensors again. The upstream had some sort of fluid in the connector again which I believe is what is causing them to fail and caused the intermittent code. It looks like brake fluid but not sure. I don't see any active leaks but I could be missing it. I ended up moving the sensor from where it clips in the engine and zip tying to the other sensor wire so if something is leaking down into the harness, hopefully that stops. The downstream looked rough and I'm trying to rule everything out. Drove the car and the other codes (P1516 and P2176) are gone, but I'm getting a P0420 code now. It never stops. When replacing the exhaust I did use WD40 on the outside to get the bolts loose, not sure if that burning fried the cat. I did wait a while prior to driving the car and nothing was directly in the pipe.
