That video is a confidence booster. I like his "X" grind on the heads of the rivets. But I'm reporting him to the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of cruelty to Aluminum.) Also I'm not convinced that the ball joint really needed to be replaced. Sacrificed for education. Also, I desperately wanted those bolts to point up. Don't know if that would interfere with anything, tho.

Ball joint swap

Unable to find the LCA #25930724 at any GM supplier, was wondering if I could
use the Mevotech CMS50174 LCA and just replace the ball joint with one from
OTTP?

Why not replace the ball joint on your LCA’s and change the rear bushings with Moog K200285 problem solvers.
To answer your question, yes
