Dash Compartment Latch

was detailing the truckster and the dash box lid got stuck and I ended up having to force it open... When I did the little plastic latch BROKE!..
I have been searching around the used parts yards but can not locate one to save my life..
Is there a way to buy JUST the latch from a parts house or GM?.. All I seem to be able to find is the WHOLE box.. Well... I really dont want to replace the whole thing or pay $160 for a box, and only use the latch...
HELP!!1

Generally the reason your lid won't open is 1 or more of the rubber grommets that it rest on are missing. They easily come out accidentally.
You can order the grommets separate but I am pretty sure the latch is part of the box complete.
The reason I say that is I had a broken hinge on one side and the dealer just ordered a whole new box under Warranty. It was on one of my 2011's.
A good GM parts guy could verify what I am telling you.

I would take Sleepers suggestion depending on what you find out from chevrolet parts.
