I don't know....I've never had any problem with any Kirkland product I've purchased. Never have bought one of their batteries but I'd venture a guess that they're made by one of the major battery manufacturers.

has anyone noticed you can't get the key out of the ign..when the battery is dead,,,you can turn it to try and start it but you can't turn back to pull it out
YES, and if the windows are closed, doors locked and you don't have a spare key on you; or if the car is parked nose-in in the 1 car garage.... you are SOL. I was lucky in that my wife's car was in the driveway and I could get her battery out fairly easily to bring into the garage and hook up jumpers under the hood, enough power to open the rear hatch. Only a running car will jump my HHR from the under hood connections, a loose battery won't do it, but battery to battery works.

Kirkland batteries are manufactured by Johnson Controls, who also make Interstate batteries, which IMO are one of the best available.
