Door Alignment

Here I go again. I have an '08 Panel with about 5000 miles on it so far.

About four weeks ago I had to take it back to the dealer to have the drivers door adjusted. When it opened, it would drop down slightly and the bottom front corner was gouging into the running board. It took the two days to adjust the door and adjust and repair the running board. Now the door is doing the same thing again only this time it's kissing the front fender and scraping the paint off of that! Anybody have a similar problem?

when I worked as a tech I had a door that would not stay alined. the only way to adjust the newer cars is to bend the door at the hinges. In some cases the door frame becomes weak and will not hold the weight of the door then over time the door drops. the only thing that can be done at that point is to replace the door.

my 2007 had that issue of the door rubbing the fender when I bought it used. the dealer fixed it as part of the deal and it was the fender itself was pushed in and down at the top where it curves in to meet the hood. straightening the fender cured the issue.

THis vehicle is one of the hardest to align body panels on. With the close gaps and odd angles it is tough.
